Mr. McKenna was born in New York, N.Y., on September 14, 1955. Mr. McKenna’s practice is primarily devoted to insurance defense in the context of fiduciary duty claims, professional errors and omissions, general liability claims, employment discrimination and commercial litigation. Mr. McKenna has tried cases in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings under collective bargaining agreements, and before agency licensure and disciplinary boards. During his career, Mr. McKenna has been involved in more than 100 appeals in state and federal courts across the country. He also practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including class action defense. Mr. McKenna's practice also involves the preparation of coverage opinions and representing borrowers in private bond placements for construction and public work projects. Mr. McKenna has participated in presenting continuing education seminars for claims handlers and counsel in the areas of health law and catastrophic litigation defense. Mr. McKenna has been included in the Oklahoma “SuperLawyers” magazine in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and 2010, an award given only to the state’s top 5% attorneys. He is included in Strathmore’s “Who’s Who-Worldwide” and is a 2009 Strathmore “Executive of the Year.” He currently serves on the editorial boards of The Federal Lawyer, the magazine of the Federal Bar Association, and the University of Tulsa Alumni Association Magazine, and is a member of the American Bar Association Advisory Committee.
